Have you ever been on holiday somewhere and wished that you had someone handy with a camera to capture those special moments? Well, then here's the perfect service for you!
You’ll be met at Biei, Asahikawa or Furano Station by your Dohoku Local - a personal photographer - with their camera in hand. If you are travelling in a rental car, they can follow along behind you but if you have no rental car, they can drive you to a sightseeing spot of interest, on the house. Once there, you can enjoy your sightseeing as planned while your Dohoku Local will act like your private paparazzi, snapping happy memories of your time in Hokkaido!
This is a great experience for influencers, couples, families or even solo travellers who are just looking for someone to take a few shots of them in Hokkaido. There's no limits on the number of shots taken over your three hours and, once you receive the photo data, you can use it however you please. So let them do the photographing - you just relax and enjoy your holiday! (Of course, if you have a special pose or a particularly special moment that you'd like your personal photographer to take, let us know in advance or at any time during the session!)
Please be aware that this is not a professional portrait photography session. No studios, costumes or special services can be provided. As this service is designed to be flexible, no entrance fees can be provided (you must pay for any entrance fees on the day). If you require the services of a professional portrait photographer for wedding portraits etc, please contact Yuto Hirasawa at Aotearoa Photography Office.

This is not a professional portrait photography service. Your photographer will simply follow along taking "snaps" of your day.

This is not a guiding service. Your Dohoku Local is acting as your photographer (though of course, if you get lost or stuck, they will help!)

Transportation is not included as standard, but if you do not have a rental car, please let us know at the time of booking.

Photos will be sent to you in data format. Prints cannot be arranged. Photo data will be deleted 30 days after being sent to you and cannot be recovered if it is not downloaded before this time limit.

No entrance fees, meals or transportation fees are included.

If you have any special requests for a particularly special moment that you'd like to capture on camera, please let us know when booking - we will do our best to help! (If you would like flower bouquets, birthday balloons etc then additional fees may apply.)

Please check the special terms for this experience as below.
1. If you are not using a rental car: Max 3 people. If you are using a rental car: Up to 6 people possible.
2. If you are travelling with children aged 6 and below, you must use your own rental car. By Japanese law, children under 6 must have a car seat and the photographer is unfortunately not able to provide one for you. Unfortunately, if you are a family with children under 6 not using a rental car, we will have to turn down your request.

Terms & Conditions
We know, it's boring.
But if you'd like to join an experience, there are some particulars.
We appreciate your taking the time to read this before booking!
1. Please confirm the special terms for this tour before booking regarding maximum number of participants and the minimum age. 2. Bookings are accepted a minimum of 3 days in advance. Unfortunately we cannot accept bookings later than this. 3. Please let us know if your photoshoot is for a surprise or a special occasion (proposal, anniversary, birthday etc). We can arrange special gifts or props (e.g. flower bouquets, cake, balloons) for an additional fee. 4. Please pay for any parking or entry fees in cash on the day for any location you have requested as part of the photoshoot. 5. Your photos will be edited and retouched (skin smoothed, colour adjustment etc). If you have any special editing requests (e.g. removing acne, softening age lines etc) then please let us know. Note that we cannot grant complex editing requests (e.g. photoshopping out crowds, changing cloudy skies to sunny skies etc). Photo editing can take a little while (as long as 3 weeks). Please be patient with us! 6. Your photos will be sent to you via a file share link. The link will be available for 30 days before being deleted. We cannot arrange photography prints for you, but you may use the data to arrange prints for your personal use in your home country. 7. The photographer retains the copyright for their work, though you have permission to use the photos for whatever personal use you like without crediting them (social media, personal prints for your home etc). However, please do not use the photos for commercial purposes or to make a personal profit (e.g. for use on mugs or t-shirts to sell to the general public). 8. Aggressive or threatening behaviour towards the interpreter and / or photographer will not be tolerated. 9. The participant accepts that they bear responsibility for any accident or injury, except for those caused by negligence or poor behaviour on the part of their Dohoku Local. 10. If there is any damage to photography equipment caused by the participant's poor behaviour (e.g. grabbing and dropping the photographer's camera), they will be held liable for the full cost of its replacement. 11. This tour requires a deposit and can only be booked via Paypal. 12. We reserve the right to cancel the reservation on the spot with no refund given if any of the T&C are breached. 13. Cancellation Policy: Full refund if cancelled by you, the participant, more than 24 hours before the experience. 100% cancellation fee if cancelled within 24 hours of the experience. Unfortunately we do not accept illness or injury as mitigating circumstances. If we have to cancel the experience due to unforeseen circumstances on Dohoku Local's end, a full refund will be given.
